ok, i got tired of spamming these things, so go here, pick a creature, and insert it in the highlighted spaces of the following paragraph. then, you have your combo:

Have JOR and the altar out, play panoptic mirror, imprint
cauldron haze on it. Play #####. Wait one turn, then activate panoptic to give
it persist, sacrifice it to the altar, it comes back, JOR removes the -1/-1,
sacrifice again. You mill them out, JOR buffs to infinite/infinite, and #####'s
ability activates and infinite number of times.

You can skip the panoptic part, but it lets you
run the combo every turn, not just one.

throw a party, persist combos are fun. try building an Ally deck around this combo, it would be fun.

This will not work. As soon as the creature returns it comes back with a -1 / -1 which the ranger cancells out BUT the creature will no longer have persist since it made the trip to the graveyard. It comes back as itself with no extra-stuff as in abilities given prior to its sac'd death.if i'm wrong someone correct me but i think that's how it goes.sorry mate

you are correct, when a card changes zones it is considered a new object and "forgets" anything it had, so no the creature will not have persist unless you can repeatably give it to him.  this applys to all the other recently posted persist combos

hah, i figured it out. get one of any number of infinite colorless mana combos, then play antler skulkin, and cast a mind bend on it. then when the creature comes back, you use 2 colorless to give it persist, when it comes back, repeat.
