Oh wait! Upon reviewing this, it isnt quite infinite, but still has lots of potential. A Manaforge Cinder could help the process go for a while, but still not forever. Doea anyone have any ideas?

It's only infinite mana if you have a way of converting from colorless to red.  Maybe using Icatian Priest and Urza's Sunglasses?
