Seriously, would this work or am I reading these cards wrong? 

If it is true, not only is Obliterator viscious by itself, but once you get this on him it's going to take some serious heat to get rid of him and it means if your opponent comes over at all then he'll be putting his playing field in the graveyard.

Totally should. Rather rundarksteel plate or indestructibility instead though.

Shoot!  I've been looking for Indestructability for like an hour now and couldn't find it and the database wasn't accepting anything else.  

Well, at least with the shield I can change it in case they bounce the Obliterator.

Throw in something like suicidal charge or something else to make your opponents attack to force them into sacrificing everything they have

You could just use Lure or some other, must block card and I'm pretty sure your opponent won't stand a chance. 

I'm serious, this thing isn't right.

I was able to locate Indestructibility in the database - you were probably not using the correct spelling :-)
