You could add kismet to be a harder lock. I think there is an artifact the has a similar effect but i can't remember.

not much effect on creatures since your opponent's creatures are also affected by intruder alarm...

@shakii- your opponents creatures being affected by intruder alarm is kind of the point.  No creature will untap during the untap step and when a creature comes into play, based on the text of torpor orb, the intuder alarms untap ability will not trigger so nothing untaps then either.  It's a really soft lock

@Rav-you might be thinking of Orb of dreams where everything enters the field tapped.  a better option would be frozen aether, that way you are not adding a 3rd or 4th color (assuming you will have green for the untap casrds like seedborn muse)

Thx, i knew there were other cards with that effect; kismet was the only one i could remember off of the top of my head and i was feeling to lazy to research the rest.
