play 2 dark rituals (for 5 black mana)

combo wasn't finnished before i accidentally hit enter add Lotus Petal
add 2 more dark ritual and lightning greaves cast virulent swipe on ornithopter
cast hatred on ornithopter (pay 18 life)

if doing this 2nd or 3rd turn... vampiric link for the win...

and yes i know this requires a god hand and is vulnerable to lightning bolt etc...

and yes i know u can remove the virulent swipe and ornithopter with memnite

obsessions are only for very bad/nigh impossible cards to combo with.

Take Magosi, the Waterveil. It's fine to try once or twice, but if you're posting a few combos a day with more than 7 cards in each just to make it work, you're forcing it.

My friend was once obsessed with Serra Angel. (he had a more serious case of DyingJester's problem with Miss Norn). He had collected over 15 copies before he realized how stupid he had been acting.

maybe instead of lightning greaves, use rite of consumption?

@ Akinas86 ... u could use rite of consumption, but then for sure you cant use something like vampiric embrace next turn

err i meant if you play it on the 2nd turn, you could add vampiric embrace to regain your life paid

for pointing rite of consumption out to me...i've never seen that card, there are some ive yet to see i figure (started in alpha and was away from magic between the original mirrodin and world wake... left just before intro and returned with world wake)

that reminds me... i gotta go down to the local store and buy a playset of rites...
