You could use Sangromancer instead of the three deathgreeters.

Paying prices is instant, the life gain is triggered. You do get to kill 1 creature per 3 life but you can are limited by your life total. The more life you have the more you can target.

It works. It's just a one time bomb. That and you are capped by your life. A descent way to dodge the pain. If you dropped a sanguine bond to then it would be they loose 3 life per creature capped by your life payed.

Well, the card was errata'd to say, "Destroy any number of target creatures. You lose 3 life for each creature destroyed this way." Or something like that. I don't know is that helps, but I'm just putting it out there.

That helps out a lot.  Otherwise you could pay the bill and then get countered and be sitting around waiting to get bumped by the targets you attempted to slaughter.

no, the life is part of the cost now, so if it gets countered, you would be screwed.
