Pay most of your life for rats.  Before they come into play, sac Tainted Sigil for life. When they into play, you double your original life total. Next turn, replay the Plague with the Djinn.

This doesn't work. You can't sac the artifact while the spell is resolving. And you can't play the sorcery the turn after. That's not how replicate works. The spell needs to be on the stack and the replication cost needs to be played before the passing of priority. Now... You can replicate it in the same turn. Paying most of your life, then before the original spell resolves you can sac the artifact to regain that life. When the copy resolves soul warden will trigger for X amount of times where X is the number of rats in play thus letting you pay even more life for the original spell. And you'll gain all that life back because of the soul warden. But it doesn't work the way you think. This would all have to be in the same turn and cost (14) mana to do.

You don't need the Djinn at all. The way the Plague works, everyone has to pass in a round before the spell ends. As long as you pay at least 1 life each time it comes around to you, the spell continues. The best way I can see to play this is, with the Soul Warden in play, pay 10 life for 10 rats returning the life to you. When it comes back around to you, pay the same 10 life getting 10 more rats. Continue doing that until you feel that you have enough rats. Then play the Sigil and sack it to gain life for all the life paid by everyone. Not playing the Sigil until after the Plague is over helps encourage the other players to pay life that you can then gain as well as your own.

Flagship  is right.  you can not gain life or nothing comes into play, until the spell finishes resolving.  you if want to play it 2 times instead of the djinn you can go with twincast and save some mana

Actually, if you read Plague of Vermin carefully, it sounds like the rats don't even come into play until the spell has resolved.

This combo works better with just paying all but 1 of your life while having out the Soul Warden.

You get a lot of tokens, and you don't lose any life
