Play Dark Depths and Vampire Hexmage, then sacrifice Vampire Hexmage to remove all of the counters from Dark Depths.  Pretty simple :)

this is a really popular combo is extended.  many decks are based on it.

The price is this combo is way too low. Dark Depths itself is worth at least $20.

that was the price of the combo when hexmage first came out.  Dark depths shot up in price due to the synergy with the hexmage for extended play, as well as the belief it would have a place in ROE.

I don't get it, what is this need for people so brag about combos they have and then don't bother posting them, while on a website that is geared to exploring combos.  seems kind of sad to me that they need to brag to a bunch of strangers and then don't even bother backing it up.  It's like saying "you have a turn 1 win, well thats nothing, i have a combo that will wreck your deck before the game even starts**"

and turn 3 is weak, try this

turn 1:  Urborg, dark rit, lightning greaves

turn 2: dark depths, hexmage, sac, equip, win

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

**it's lighter fluid and matchs it you were wondering

currently, everything that came after lorwyn is part of extended

Dark Depths wouldn't work in Extended then.

yes it is now illegal in extended, though it was at the time this combo was posted, it is still legal in vintage and legecy
