R&D's Secret Lair and Prototype Portal are also needed, but they weren't in the database.  Any elf can be used instead of Llanowar Elves, it's only so the Channeler taps for at least 2.  Play Freed From the Reel on the Channeler, with another elf in play.  Tap the Channeler for two blue mana, use one of the blue mana to untap it.  Do this as many time as you want.  Play Prototype Portal and imprint Ashnod's Coupon on it.  Play R&D's Secret Lair and Filigree Sages.  Since you have unlimited amounts of blue mana, you can use the Sages to keep untapping the Portal and creating unlimited amounts of coupons.  Since the coupon clearly states that the "You must pay any costs for the drink" clause is Errata, R&d's Secret Lair counteracts this.  Your opponent now owes you an unlimited amount of free drinks.

Actually, because the errata of ashnod's coupon is printed on the card, R&D's secret lair doesn't work.

Since the errata is printed on the card, R&D's Secret Lair does not bypass the errata. [D'Angelo 2006/09/09]

That is irrelevent.  R&D's Secret Lair says ignore all errata, and , even if a ruling states that this is not true, R&D's Secret Lair also says play cards as written, which means all cards, including itself.  Therefore, any errata or additional ruling involving R&D's Secret Lair is irrelevent by default.

wrong the card arshnod's coupon doesn't actually have an erreta, "you pay all costs for the drink" it is simply part of the card, thus is written and isn't ignored by R&D (also that ruling is on the coupon)

But still you can ask your opponent to get the drink from let's say Alaska...
You only pay for the drink but not the transportation costs...

Edit: oppps, i pay for any costs, including the transportation costs... too bad...

You cannot force someone get a drink which cannot be reasonably acquired. For example, you cannot make them go to Hawaii for a special drink that is only available there. [QAS 1998/09/09]

but not because of that ruling. . . (whoops) because it says any costs for the drink, which would include, travel, housing food and drink along the way, and other things.

yup, that's what i'm saying... plus even if i pay for everything, it's still a major inconvenience for me because i have to wait for my opponent to return... the game is in progress, as long as my opponent hasn't returned, i can't do anything because it's part of the resolution of the ability...

Sorry.  Oracle text from gatherer still says errata, so it's errata.  R&D's Secret Lair doesn't give a $%^& as to whether or not the errata is on the card itself or not.  It says ignore all errata, not just errata on the internet, and this includes errata printed on cards.

Yes, but as you can see, the second part is "play all cards AS WRITTEN", so unless you have a reading problem or something, Ashnod's Coupon's errata is written.

But R&D's Secret Lair clearly states:  Ignore all errata.  Therefore, you play it as written, but then ignore the errata part.

First, let's just describe what errata means:

Errata/Erratum is described as an error in writing or reading...
or in this case the written ruling on the card...

Then, we should identify if the errata written on the coupon is a legit errata...

Does the Ashnod's Coupon have a legit errata? I don't think so... Errata are meant to correct a written rule after it was printed and not during its printing... am i right? or am i right?
i think the next line after the activated ability of the coupon is part of the rule text of the card...

That's just my opinion... any thoughts?

since the words "you pay for all costs of the drink" is labeled errata you would ignore it because the card says IGNORE all errata.

Shakii you are correc5t on your opinion of errta.

As for this the comprensive rules state that you follow the text of cards in written order. So when both are in play you follow the "all cards as written" part of rd first since that is what is listed first. Now when you go to follow the "ignore all erreta" part it creates a problem you can't ignore the erreta and still follow coupon as written. As a result the "as written" part is followed since it was first and the "ignore errta" part is ingored, because of rule 103 "instructions that can't be followed are ignored". So ashnods stands as written someones driving but your buying
