the forest in the list represents Flourishing Defences (since apparently it's not found in the database.)

put presence of gond on a creature. tap the creature to make a 1/1 elf, play flourishing defences and blowfly infestation. use scar on the 1/1 elf. FD will make a 1/1 elf. the first 1/1 goes to the graveyard triggering BI (since tokens hit the graveyard then cease to exist). do this as many times as you want ending the -1/-1 cycle by targeting another creature then bitter ordeal your opponents entire library away. (it\'s even more satisfying if it\'s a multiplayer game)

Flourishing Defences is in the Database, I used it in a combo less than a week ago...

And this combo doesn't work.  Here's how it would play out:

1.Scar resolves and the counter is placed on the token, triggering Flourishing Defences and putting the triggered ability onto the stack.

2.Before Flourishing Defences' triggered ability resolves, state-based actions are checked, and the token in put in it's owner's graveyard, where it ceases to exist.  Blowfly Infestation's ability triggers as a result of the token hitting the graveyard, and it's ability is put on the stack on top of that of Flourishing Defences.

3.Blowfly Infestation's ability, being on top of the stack, resolves first, putting a -1/-1 counter on something.

4.Finally, Flourishing Defences' ability resolves, putting the token into play.

Actually this does work.

When a trigger event occurs it gets placed on the stack the next time you receive priority.

So when the scars resolves you get a -1/-1 counter on a 1/1, and flourshing triggers floats until you get priority.  However, before that occurs SBE's are checked and see a 0 toughness creature sending it to the grave, which in turn triggers blowfly.  Now you get priority with both triggered abilitys floating and since you control both abilitys you get to determine the order they go on the stack, put the blowfly trigger first then flourshing so your 1/1 is in play when the blowfly resolves repeating the process

This one bends the rules, but i agree it does work (barely)

this doesn't bend the rules at all, actually quite to opposite, it uses them to the letter.

But the real problem is you spell it Flourishing Defences when it really is spelled Flourishing Defenses.
