Give all creatures target player control would have defender(they are walls)

Defender is an ability not a type creatures don't gain it

The "Walls can't attack" rule was done away with about six years ago, where have you been?

It isnt gone, it is a rule forever... New walls justhave defender to make people dont forgot it

Walls can't attack was changed to the defender keyword in kamigwa. At that time all old w2alls were updatged with that keyword and the new ruling is that a creature can attack unless it has the defender keyword. Keywords do not get added to a creature just because of type. You don't automatically gain defender justbecause your a wall, just as you don't gain reach because your a spider or regen because your a skeleton, or the ability to turn into an enchantment because your a licid. The keyword needs to be on the creature to have it.
If you need further claification look at the rules for the changling keyword or since you like old cards look at the3 wording on orignal mistform ultimus. If I recall it says you can attack while being a wall. Same priciples for changlings and mistform apply here

may i add a few more keywords found on specific creature type? just to point it out more...

Flying : Birds/Angels/Dragons
Vigilance/First strike : Soldiers/Knights
Trample : Elephants

Gatherer is always final say no matter what is printed on the card. Isn't that one of the first rules?

Gatherer Text for Stone Wall (nemesis... before kamigawa)



Defender (This
creature can't attack.)
 : Flowstone Wall gets +1/-1 until end of
turn.

Gatherer is always right and if they screw up abuse it as much as possible in that short period of time.

Wall of Hope (Legions)

"Keywords do not get added to a creature just because of type. You don't

Whenever Wall
of Hope is dealt damage, you gain that much life.
