also needs livewire lash which is from SOM. have all three on the field, equip the lash to one of the thopters, then start equiping the greaves to each thopter, switching between the two. if this works, then every time the ornithopter with lash is targeted, it'll deal 2 damages to a target player or creature. since greaves has no equip costs, this can go infinite.

Equipped creature gets +2/+0 and gains "Whenever this creature becomes a
target of a spell, this creature deals 2 damage to target creature or
player.Equip 2

Wouldn't work since equip is an ability of a permanent not a spell.
