with warped devotion in play, play the horror, the 2 3/3's come into play allowing you to play whiplash trap, the centaurs go bye-bye and your opponent discards 2 in exchange for your 7/7 trampler

Good combo but I don't think that your opponent would have to discard two cards because you are getting rid of tokens.

Correct. Tokens cannot exist off of the battlefield.

Tokens do change zones triggering any abilitys that look for that -such as warped devotion, deathgreeter, hissing ingnaur-however, once in that zone they cease to exist as a state-based effect
so yes they need to discard, cause 2 creatures went ot their hand-devotion doesn't care if they cease to exist after that
