This combo also needs Plaguemaw Beast.

Pentavus provides creatures to sac, gemstone provides mana for Pentavus, Plaguemaw sacs for proliferate, and intruder alarm untaps Plaguemaw whenever you create a creature with Pentavus. You need to start off with at least 1 charge counter on Gemstone and 1 colorless mana to start the engine.

Nice. Points for using Gemstone Array. It always makes me smile to see that artwork.

That's also part of my hatred when I see a Braids, Cabal Minion combo. She haunts me in my sleep... (shivers)...

I concur about Gemstone. I first saw it in a local game store and bought one just because it's sooo purrdddyyy, without really having any particular plan on using it.

In addition to Pentavus, there's also Thopter Squadron for 2 less mana.

you can also add, DIsciple of the Vault to seal it off.

Instead of Gemstone Array, you could also use Pentad Prism.

It is cheaper, after all. The sunburst might prove a slight problem, but I doubt it.
