Ok, for this to work, you also need 3 artifacts in your hand (does not matter what they are). Tap the Metalworker, reveal 3 and add 6 to your mana pool. Tap the Voltaic Key (now have 5 mana) and also pay the Rings of Brighthearth cost to target the Voltaic Key (now have 3 mana floating) Do this enough times and you will have infinite mana. The other option is to add in any tapping artifact and use its abilities infinatly. Even if it has an activation cost of 8, you can produce infinite mana then start the cycle.
