Build Chandra up with counters until u can play her big ability then use the rings to double the fun (or pain)

idea works great with any planeswalker. i particularly enjoy using it with Bolas.

It does work that way right? legal combo?

Unfortunately, this will only serve to double the effect, not the number of counters being placed on the planeswalker.

This is because the activated abilities of the planeswalkers are understood under two parts. The activation cost (the number of loyalty counters placed on or removed from the planeswalker) and the effect which goes on the stack. The artifact you mentioned only duplicates the ability on the stack, and not the activation cost.

Doubling season doesn't work for this. The reason is the counters being put on is a price. As such it isn't doubled. It does affect starting tokens and if you use proliforate or gilder barow.

It does effect the number of counters the walkers come in with. for most of them you can go ult8imate when they come into play if season is out

by doubling the fun i ment the effect. lol! not adding counters or anything. doin chandras (or any planeswalkers big ability for a low cost of 3 mana is nice. however Guilder bairn from the eventide set will double counters for 3 mana. just need to get it tapped and pay three to untap it. good discussion tho.
