i remember being hit by a Black Lotus, Ball Lightning, (discard Elvish Spirit Guide, discard Elvish Spirit Guide, cast 2 Berserk

Elvish spirit guide
Beserk

Mountain
Rite of Flame x 2 (gain four mana)
Assault Strobe
Ball Lightning

This works better: It will allow you to play the combo on turn 1 regardless of who goes first.
