Turn 1: Play a forest and lotus petal. Cast dark ritual from the petal. Play out Elvish Piper.

Turn 2: Play a mountain. Use elvish piper's ability to bring out Progenitus, and then cast surge of zeal on elvish piper to grant Progenitus haste.



Obviously, if you could use a lotus bloom or two, you could get Progenitus moving on the first turn. Chew on that ;)

How about Forest + Birds of Paradise + Forest + Natural Order + Lotus Petal + Progenitus. This would go.

Turn 1: Forest, Birds of Paradise

Turn 2: Lotus Petal, Forest, Natural Order- Search for progenitus.

don't use surge of zeal,

that is a slightly better card, only Progenitus has protection from everything, which also means protection from reckless charge. Basically Progenitus is an indestructible, unblockable 10/10 with shroud. That's why he used surge of zeal on Elvish Piper.
