The Asceticism protects Horobi with the added advantage of having a built in kill switch

Great minds think alike (I too thought of Horobi when I first saw this card)

Am now collecting Ascetisms for my Horobi deck (which is currently B/W but will change to B/W/G)

Yeah I was thinking of keeping it BG but will probally go W as well. I play a lot of multiplayer ande seeds of strength is to good to pass up

just dont use the regenerate effect! (lol, but you could have some fun with thornbite staff and something like blood cultist)

i know this is pretty much common sense...

i used to use  Kami of the Waning Moon along with other spirits/arcanes with soulshift like

Scuttling Death (with his sacrifice to target creature and soulshift 4 to get back horobi.)  

for fun i like to throw in leathal vapors just to piss people off.

Trigger-actually I wanted to stay away from the staff, mainly because I don't want it to become a dead card if I get it out after Horobi.  As for not using the regenerate ability, can't promise that one, I like the irony of killing my opponents creatures by targeting them to regenerate

kain-yeah using soulshift is how I keep it alive in my current deck wanted to move away from that.

oh, i meant regenerating your own creatures. that is actually pretty funny, targeting theirs. but anyway, you could agree not to use the staff, but if you equip a creature like blood cultist before you play the horobi, you can get a huge creature and wipe their field in the process

true,  but is a huge creature worth having a dead card, especially since aseticism can open the field as well so can cauldron of souls,  which in either case a 1/1 can still win me the game.  you don't always need to have a beast

good point. actually, out of curiosity, would a pyroclasm be a field wipe under the horobi? i dont think its targeting, but my friend wants to know for sure

it doesn't target so it will only be 2 damage to all
