You need at least two more elves on the field.

Equip Magistrate with the Umbral Mantle, and tap the Magistrate for counters on the Druid (4 +1/+1 counters). Use the Druid's effect 4 times, removing all the counters. You will have 4 G mana, so tap 3 to untap the Magistrate. This is fun because it is very playable in Elf decks, and the Magistrate is gaining P/T the whole time. This also works well with the Elvish Archdruid, the Wirewood Channeler, or other cards of the sort.

The mantle is till end of turn. This will still kill the elf at the end of turn. Works for one turn though.

yeah, lol srry. but the devoted druid should be safe due to the counters, and actually will be huge next turn if you so choose it to be (using the +1/+1 counters and do not use the mana effect, after infinite mana is achieved)
