play the swamp it can deal 1 damage, enchant it so you gain an additional 2 green mana. play the artifact now you can tap the swamp, (get 3 mana, untap it,tap again using the 1 damage ability, use the other mana and then add to get mana again.) Repeat the part in brackets until you win, in three turns.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. When mono-artifacts were printed, they were understood to be usable only once per turn (in the same way planeswalkers can only use their ability once per turn). They later replaced "mono-artifact" with the tap cost and thus anything that reads "mono-artifact" basically means it requires a tap.

The oracle text reads "pay x, tap: untap x lands"

Don't worry though. That is quite possibly the most common mistake on this site.
