Opalescence creates so many options. I just wish they would get it onto MTGO now.

Wouldn't two -1 counters destroy Quest for Renewal though?

Inverted-those aren't the counters being moved.  Basically you tap the leecher to produce 1 mana, tapping it causes renewal to gain a counter.  used the gained mana to untap leecher moving the quest counter to another quest.  you can do this indefinitaly allowing you to max out all your quests.  Pretty sweet combo

In this combo it won't, but you asked  "If only there was something that powered up a creature for how many counters it has on it. . ." I gave you an answer--banshee blade.  sigil of distiction is another :-P

But you could build upon the general idea replace opelesence with march of the machines then play eterinity vessel, move all of those counters to the blade via leecher. ohhh have the blade attached to esperzoa so you can bounce the vessel to do it again
