First you play Panoptic Mirror.
The next turn, you exile Temporal Extortion with the mirror.

Only thing is it can still be countered. It says "you may play at beginning of upkeep" and Extortion says "When you play."

This can be fixed with many things. Like using a different extra turn card (Time Warp, for example.)

If you use Time Warp, it can still be mono black.

Time Warp is way cheaper though.

Not reopening the door about what is mono, but unless you have a way to play them time walk or warp become dead cards without the mirror temporal can still be played which alone makes it the best option for mono black.
And on a personal note forcing your opponent each turn to choose between losing have their life or giving you an extra turn is a lot more fun then having infinite turns.

If I am not mistaken, than couldn't they bring themselves down to one life then just keep countering the spell?

But if they did then they are at 1 life, and if you cant deal them 1 damage... thats pretty fail

If they wanted to, then yes.


No they can not, if they are at one life and try to counter temporal extortion they would lose the game.  Reason being to counter temporal extortion you need to pay half your life rounded up, so if your at 1 life half your life is 0.5 rounded up is 1, so you will need to pay 1 life to counter it.  SBE will see you at 0 life and end the game
