equip the stuff to the hellkite, and when you attack, use 1 red mana per creature u want to kill

people keep telling me ancient hellkite is a garbage card, yet ive found and used a number of nasty combos for it... more powerful combos than i have seen for any other dragon (including worldgorger)

there are no dragons in magic that have been printed, yet ancient hellkite is my fav for really hurting the opponent :)

(i got a large stack of ancient hellkite from trading people... people let their foils of it go super cheap ($0.50) and said it was a unplayable card... time to make tehm eat their words... lol

It's not that ancient hellkite is garbage, and mind you this is only my opinion, its just he is not that good compared to other cards.  Take this combo, yes it works well with the hellkite but it would work just as well if not better with ronin cliffrider, for cheaper cost to.   As for the hellkite in regards to other dragons hes not that great,  the bling and invasion dragons all are all 6/6 with more interesting abilities for 6 mana charger and mordant are also 6 mana.  frankly if I was paying 7 mana for a dragon I want Rimescale but as I said only my opinion and I have s oft spot for rimescale

So ?  I think that the scythe would leave the dragon on the first kill and would get attached to something else (what ever you killed) then you would have to re-attach the scythe... Am I right?

Ronin Cliffrider could also work. I like the 2 less mana and not having to pay for the 1 damage. The 2/2 on the other hand isn't so nice. Workable, but not so nice.

the scythe would leave with the first kill, but each kill would go on the stack, so you can hit multiple creatures at a time with this combo if played right

and yes the ronin is ok, but i still prefer the hellkite, not as vulnerable to a lightning bolt or incinerate, ghostfire etc...
