First, have a wide variety of cards in your graveyard. Once a player casts a spell and Counterbalance's trigger goes on the stack, use haunted cross-roads to put a creature card with equal cost onto your library.

with some dredge lands for more cards in graveyard and "words of " this could be a killer deck.
