I don't think they come back... They just die when you target them and don't gain persist.

If I'm wrong... I guess you could just untap and do it again, lol.

Horobi, Death's Wail is great with so many cards. I would suggest targeting it with the Cauldron so it can't be used against you.

Yes, targets are chosen when the ability is placed on the stack; this will cause the trigger to go on the stack and resolve before the cauldron.

The Cauldron's ability will fizzle with the creatures safe and sound in their graveyards.
