use glasses to see opponents hand, choose a card, then play meddling mage, rinse and repeat with followed footsteps (the splinter twin to lock down temporarily in case they get a removal)

Since you're already dabbling in blue, I would recommend Telepathy instead of Urza's Glasses.

Glasses of Urza is such a useless card. . .

It can be good for black decks that make discard, and don't use blue. It is inferior to telepathy, but it does do the job with colorless.

Still not too useful. It should be on the list for worst card.

why would it be on the list for worst card?

being able to look at your opponents hand each turn for 1 mana...

im pretty sure thats good...

Actually it is just for the cost of tapping them. The initial casting cost is one time only. Just pointing that out because there are some spells that you would have to re cast to get the second look.

But looking at their hand isn't that good. Telepathy is way better.

what do you mean looking at their hand is not good, being able to antcipate what your opponent will play gives you a huge advantage.  yes telepahy is better but the glasses is able to be played in anydeck without splashing blue

Fine, but I still don't like it.

Splinter Twin lockdown would only work vs Sorcery speed removal, as they could kill your Mage in response to you tapping it for the token copy.

You're better off giving it Shroud somehow to stop them targeting the Mage.
