I don't think its about the mana, its a board sweep pay 1 black to remove a counter to put a counter on everything, remove the counter from mosal to get a black mana, use it to remove a counter from the other demon put another counter on everything, repeat. 

Its expensive mana wise though effective as it kills protected, shroud and indestructable

Oh, I didn't read the demon well enough. They put -1/-1 counters on each other and the Morsel so you can keep getting the mana. I see it now.

Nice...now if only we had a cheaper way to bring them out.

How about the Putrid Imp/Reanimate/Eternity Vessel combo?
