Ajani's Pridemate is not in the database. I think the apostrophe screws it up. Ajani Goldmane added so that I have two cards.

Ajani Goldmane, Ajani's Mantra, and Recumbent Bliss are obvious combo's with the pridemate but what about Righteous Cause? Anytime any creature attacks pridemate gets stronger. Splash green and you can add Lifegift or Roots of Life. I can say from experience it gets real strong real fast.

you forgot the Wardens... Soul warden, essense warden or Soul's attendant...

Thats hilarious, I threw in those other cards so people wouldn't immediately post and say, "hey here is another way to gain life, it works to". Guess I should have been more thorough. For future reference any card that gains life works well with the pridemate. Anyway, the real strength of this is how often it will cause an opponent to accidentally swing into him. Because its whenever any creature attacks, including your opponents. It is not uncommon for someone to forget that attacking you makes it stronger or that if you attack with 3 creatures it is triggered three times which is 3 more counters. This means they swing thinking that you will block and lose the creature or that you will let the damage through. Instead the pridemate buffs up and blocks for the win. Yes, if you have an infinite life gain mechanic this will get really strong but I think the infinite life gain might be helping you out also.
