Take a creature over with the lucid; sacrifice the creature and end the effect of the lucid to repeat the process.

I believe it is reusable, but let me know otherwise.

if you sac the creature, you cant respond by turning the licid into a creature, as it will be dead as a SBE from bein an aura without being attached to anything. sorry. :( (i tried to do something similar with the licid and phyrexian altar, and a judge said no. :(  )

@JMDin: If anything, this should work better with Phyrexian Altar.
You control the creature and decide to sac it → you generate the mana you want after destoying the creature → the (blue) mana has to go somewhere, so you spend it on Dominating Licid's end effect.

Might just be me, but I'm not seeing anything illegal here. Why should the Licid die from a state-based effect if you immediately convert it back to a creature - almost at the speed at which you could play an instant, no less?

since the licid is still an enchantment at the time of the sacrifice, with the ability to get the blue mana on the stack, as a state based effect, the enchantment (licid) goes to the GY because it is currently an Aura that is not attached to anything, so it will die, and you will still have the blue mana.
Rules citation:

303.4c If an Aura is enchanting an illegal object or player, the object it was attached to no longer exists, or the player it was attached to has left the game, the Aura is put into its owner’s graveyard. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)

In other words... it's instantaneous. Creature goes, Licid goes.
Well, I can deal with getting corrected when I'm wrong. Shame it doesn't work, though. It could be devastating if it did.
