If you\'re against a creature with pro-colored spells (Emrakul, I\'m looking at you buddy) cast conquering manticore, take control of Emrakul, attack, then fling for the kill!

For that amount of mana I'd rather Phthisis something. Chances are you'll do the same amount of life-loss, but without the chance of damage-prevention.

you can fling emrukel, you sac him as a cost and protection doesn't protect againest sacrifice for any reason, except when its targeted, ie mercy killing

I like this a lot. Fling is just awesome. You could also pay one more colorless and use Traitorous Instinct instead. It gives it +2/+0 which is four (unless there is a block or Fog or some other crap like that) more damage.
