Hopefully this makes up for my other crumby progenitus combo.  Simply play ashnod's altar and summoner's egg, removing progenitus from the game with the egg.  Next, sac the egg to the altar and put progenitus into play.  With a little mana ramp you can have progenitus out in the first couple of turns.

Isn't that the entire point of Summoner's Egg though. . .

Yeah it is, but it works especially well with progenitus since it removes it from the game.  There would be countless easy combos if progenitus went to the graveyard.   Just thought a three card combo only needing 4 colorless mana to get progenitus out was worth posting.

1. Swamp, Dark Ritual. Dark Ritual. Summoner's Egg. Sacrifice.

Turbine, my earlier post states exactly what you just posted.  I said "with a little mana ramp you could have progenitus out in the first couple of turns."

I also realize the egg can be used for many different creatures.  I posted it with progenitus because progenitus is five colors and a little more difficult to get out than a colorless creature that you can use eldrazi spawn to get out.
