I've noticed that a lot of people mess up their "your"s when talking. It's something that I didn't want to say anything about, because it would make me sound like a jerk.

Personally I think that the specifics of the english language are completely illogical and that exceptions are simply a lazy way of avoiding logical rules. We should all start speaking latin!
