well i think you get the point. with Training Grounds or Heartstone Pili-Pala gives mana for him self when you untap it and with Arcane Teachings or Fire Whip or Hypervolt Grasp you tap him to deal 1 damage to player. you can use Fabricate to get to Pili-Pala and Crimson Wisps to give 'im haste... other cards are optional, from counter spell to draw... n'joy

You need Paradise Mantle for infinite damage.

not realy... cause activ ability costs 1 less to play so when you untap it you get 1 mana to untap it again and you tap it for free to deal 1 damage...

this is just combo and as every other combo it can be broken... but there are 60 cards in your deck and you should PLAY with ALL of them

The beauty of a Pili-Pala deck is that once in response to you casting Pithing Needle (when it's still on the stack), the controller could just stack on infinite damage.

At least I think that would work. There's a point in time between when the card enters the battlefield and when it's on the stack right?

true, you can stack it before pitting needle actually comes into play

Yep, when it is cast it goes onto the stack, you could respond by placing your infinite enginge on top of it.

Whatever your engine does finishes before the needle resolves and enters the BF.

You can shake up the Pili-pala deck by adding cards like knacksaw clique, and Hateflayer, to the deck to avoid pithing needle.

or you just put shielding plax or destroy artifact or counter the needle... really don't think it's hard to protect it...

You can just oxidize it...

Turbine's right, anything with split second will bring it down to size. Supposing you have the pili-pala on the field in its final configuration, not even an oxidize will do, in fact, not even a prevent damage card would do.

How about the paradise mantle? infinite mana...
You can float mana... even if a split second spell is on the stack...
