Ok, so this is kind of dull, but think about it like this. You get 3 life for each creature both you and your enemy have, do 3 damage to each of there creatures, you have +4 toughness for you creatures, so they are ok, and you throw 3 to there face, then take all that life you gain, and drop there life by that much. If both you and your opponent combing have 7 creatures (3 on one side, and 4 on the other) that is 24 life you gain, and 24 life they lose.
