This combo is in my Jhiora EDH deck. The best part about the combo is that you don't need to find the whole thing in order to be effective. Chronarch is good on his own. Splinter Twin Combos with lots of my other creatures, such as Mulldrifter and Bogardan Hellkite. You don't even need the Time Warp, you can bring a sorcery/instant back every turn, or use something like exhaustion so that they never untap.

I love splinter twin. This card goes well in combo with so many things  making it very versatil.

Why do people always put combos in EDH? It is harder to get them out.

For one, there are a lot of search spells available in EDH which can find your combo quickly. Also, when killing people takes twice as long as normal, combos are an attractive option because they win you the game instantly. And finally, many of those combos are based on cards that work well on their own, like this one.
