opponents cant play spells unless they are spells that cant be countered.

play erayo, then play 4 spells (gigadrowse is just in here because it will count as playing 4 spells for 4 mana and you wont need to give up four spells in hand)(or at least i think it will count) then with erayo flipped up play arcane labratory

add a card that penalizes having cards in hand, or penalizes for discarding just for quickened death

Gigadrowse does NOT count as playing 4 spells.

It just puts copies of the spell on the stack.

Replicated spells don't count towards flipping Erayo, Soratami Ascendant. The changes in M2010, other than mana burn, were mostly wording. The Played was changed to Cast. The replicated spells aren't cast. Buyback could help you keep the card count down while setting off Erayo. Mystic speculation with memory crystal is a 1 mana spell with free buyback. It is also blue, keeping the color of this combo.

I was saying that effects spells that has replicate can still go through Erayo... Even if the actual card is countered, the replicates aren't and will still go through, right?

a spell that is replicated 5 times will only count as 1 spell as far as erayo is concerned, for the reasons zel said, copies of spells aren't cast

What i'm saying is for example, you cast Gigadrowse (your first spell) then pay for replicate 5 times. Your opponent having a flipped Erayo on the field, automatically counters gigadrowse, then the 4 copies will not be countered right? so it will still go through?

no your right the copies will still go through as they are independent of the orignal spell

So a replicated naturalize can still kill erayo right? even if there is an arcane lab in play...
