Cast Traumatize on yourself, then Open the Vaults when you please. This works amazingly well in an artifact deck. Accelerate your mana in your favorite way to make this happen early.

That's very risky business... 1 ravenous trap and it's all over...

If the only deck that plays them is mill, you can just let them mill you games 2 & 3. It seems like this is a combo you could side out in a deck that would work without it, you could just take out your traumatizes.

Like any game series, you don't want to repeat the same tricks multiple times. It's just a fun 2 card combo I used on turn 5 with some acceleration to put half my deck into play. Because my turn 5 came after surviving a turn 4, most are tapped out for most counters, and if you're not playing against blue you're probably good to go, especially in standard.

Yup, ravenous against eldrazis... Emrakul and the other cards milled will not be shuffled back to library... but the library is still shuffled, i think...

I feel like Leyline of the Void would be a good way to avoid the reshuffling issue with Eldrazi.

Yeah, but only if you are running Black.

Why? The best part about running 4 is getting that one in your opening hand, then playing it for free :) It's only marignally useful, so it should be given only marginal mana attention.

@Shakii23 It would still shuffle the library, Ravenous Trap removes the graveyard. You shuffle your graveyard (equal to 0) into you deck.

Nope... Emrakul and the other legendary eldrazi's abilities are triggered abilities and use the stack...

So the moment Emrakul is put into graveyard, it will be put into stack... then you can use Ravenous Trap to remove him from the game before the ability resolves... thus after resolution, grave will be shuffled to library...resulting in 0 cards in grave shuffled to library...

I think you're talking about Darksteel Colossus' ability which is not a triggered ability but a replacement effect (defined by the keyword "instead"... before he's even put into grave, he would be shuffled back to library...
