So let me get this right...

► Play Forest, discard Elvish Spirit Guide; play Channel...
Life remaining: 20
► Pay five life, get five mana; play Belbe's Portal and choose "Eldrazi"...
Life remaining: 15
► Pay three life, get three mana; use Belbe's Portal's ability to get out Ulamog...
Life remaining: 12
► Pay two life, get two mana; play and equip Lightning Greaves to Ulamog...
Life remaining: 10

In other words, you sacrificed half your life to get Ulamog out and hitting hard... I want to be mad at something so stupid, but this is actually pretty good... why not turn it into a Turn 1 win by paying another five life and putting Fireshrieker onto Ulamog?

A 10/10 with haste and double strike on Turn 1? How could you say 'no' to that?!

With Annihilator 4 unless they have a instant kill win there is no recovery form this. Still, turn 1 is very good. It becomes a 7 card hand that has to be dropped to get the turn 1 win. The option 6 cards makes this very worth while.
