There\'s one card in MTG that can stop any creature, albeit temporarily.

When I say any creature, I mean any creature.

This includes Progenitus, Darksteel Colossus, Emrakul, etc.

Anyone know what it is?

PS - It has nothing to do with the cards listed :P

"Stop any creature"?
Um... uh... did someone make Dio Brando from JJBA into a Planeswalker?

Oh, zam! That would make an awesome custom card!

Define stop? Ummm, how about... remove from play/prevent from coming into play. It would be easier for me to give examples:

Counterspell stops a creature from coming into play, however some creatures can't be countered.

Terror can destroy a creature, but some creatures are black, and others are indestructible.

Unsummon can remove a creature from play, but some creatures have shroud.

Pyroclasm can kill creatures, but some creatures can't be damaged.

Diabloic Edict can cause a creature to be sacrificed, but can't gaurantee it in the event they control more than 1.

Since I posted this, I've been looking into it, and I've found 1 other card that can "stop" any creature. I wonder if there's more?

Never seen this guy before. He can indeed stop any creature. Since I posted this I've found a few others. The first one I had in mind was Evacuation, however there's also Hallowed Burial, Decree Of Annihilation, False Prophet, Final Judgement, and Living Death among others I probably don't know about or am forgetting about. With all the new fatties they're putting into MTG, I've become a bigger fan of these cards than I've been in the past.

Iona stops most of these. I have no idea. What about cards with Cycling abilities? The cards you posted didn't solve the riddle, except for False Prophet.

I posted Decree, and Man 'O' War doesn't work because of shroud.

Humility will not stop any creature. Creatures based solely on +1/+1 counters will be unaffected by it.

I'm aware of what Iona is, but I'm unaware of why you're reminding me...

Because she can stop you from even playing it. That is why I was looking into Cycling abilities. Resounding Wave should stop Iona, but doesn't help against Shrouded creatures.

Right. In the case of Iona, either counter her, which is the easiest option, or use 2 spells instead of 1 to get rid of her. Other than her color stopping ability, she has no protective abilities.

So, what is the answer though?

I was wrong about there only being one card, I postwed them earlier.

There is no one card that stops any creature. There are ones that stop most though. Iona stops colored ones, and All is Dust can't kill colorless ones. Unless there is multiple Ghostfires, What could you use?

Terminus. Moves all creatures to bottom of the library. No creature can resist this effect.

Oh I see Iona being a problem. Okay, how about Karn Liberated's final ability?

evacuation, upheaval, decree of annihilation, dimensional breach, false prophet, major teroh (with painters servant), planar guide, merciless eviction, apocalypse, worldfire, terminus, final judgement, soulquake

any spell that puts all creatures in the library, exile or in the hand basically

edit: also... anything that makes it so all creatures lose all abilities and don't deal damage (sudden spoiling for example)

Time Stop is the answer. Can stop the creature from coming into play, from attacking, from having an ability go, etc. Timestop can also deal with uncounterable cards.
Still a fan of Iona, as EntropySpawn brought up, as well as Kederekt Leviathan.
