Play your swamp, cast dark rit.  Use one black to entomb a fatty of your choice.  Use the remaining two black to cast exhume, and bring him/her out!

I have found Inkwell Leviathan or Iona, Shield of Emeria to be the best choices.  Anyone else prefer any other ones?

First turn Iona is godly, as is any creature with Annihilator.

Darksteel Colossus, Progenitus, Sphinx Of The Steel Wind, Hellkite Overlord, Empyrial Archangel, Magister Sphinx, Karthus, Tyrant Of Jund, Gaea's Revenge...

As you can see, I prefer creatures with protection abilities like shroud or... protection :P Also, huge creatures with haste are always a good idea.

Old school reanimator again?

I think the most popular old-school reanimator creature would've been Nicol Bolas, but that was only when used with Shallow Grave. I wasn't around before Tempest so I don't really know much about tournaments before that.

This is the typical reanimator... Dark Rit, entomb, exhume, akroma... that's the typical reanimator... or Dark rit x2, Buried alive, Animate dead... Worldgorger dragon, Ambasaddor Laquatus...
