I can't remember the name of the card, but there is one that makes all your creatures artifacts as well as their creature type.  That plus darksteel forge

he is saying make the mistfolk indestrutable, so you only need to work about boucne and exile

Oh... so the only thing you need to counter are Spells like boomerang and path to exile? The only thing you need to counter manually are mass removal spells like Wrath of God, Day of Judgement and alike...

exactly correct.  If you make the mistfolk indestructible and all spells cast must target him...you no longer have to worry about countering even since the damage is useless...if someone casts something to remove him you can counter it and then counterspell on a stick prevents the global clears.
