Nice combo, might try it in my U/G clockwork deck, but if I may: cast Scapeshift, dig for two swamps and Dark Depths, next turn, cast Vampire Hexmage, and cackle madly as you bring a truly frightining being onto the battlefield.

personally i prefer into the north for my dark depth needs as its only 2, though to be honest I rarely play it as its to easy to remove (1 mana path or unsummon for example), with 16 mana I tend to go banefire
