Never go unprepared into a fight again - with this, you can do... literally anything.
Need a card? Need mana? Need creatures? This'll do it all and then some.

STEP 1: Get Krark-Clan Ironworks, Spawning Pit and Doubling Season out onto the field first. How you do it is up to you...
STEP 2: After that, get your creatures out - Mindless Automaton (with four counters on it instead of two) and Ornithopter for free ('cause the best things are free, of course).
STEP 3: Start the chain.
► Sacrifice Ornithopter - this'll net you and two counters on Spawning Pit.
► Pay and remove the counters on Spawning Pit; get two 2/2 Spawn artifact creature tokens (yes, you just sacked a weaker creature for two stronger ones).
► Remove two counters from Mindless Automaton to draw a card, then pay another and discard a card you don't need to get those two counters back!
► Sacrifice another of your Spawn tokens - start again from where it says "sacrifice Ornithopter". Really, do this as many times as you want.

Infinite colorless mana; infinite 2/2 creatures; infinite cycling through your deck... and when your deck nears empty, pull out Elixir of Immortality, use its ability... and start all over again. Now I know this combo isn't necessarily cheap or easy to pull off, but if all six of these cards come onto the field...

Why all the formatting?

*shrug* I just think it looks better this way...
...besides, it saves room for more explanations if I use instead of actually typing out "one colorless / generic mana", right?

I'm a stickler for keeping things looking neat on screen... would you prefer I don't use all the formatting? 'Cause I can stop.

You could say 1 mana instead.

correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you only sacrifice a creature for one cause?  You couldn't sac thopter for 2 counters AND 2 mana...it would have to be one or the other.

You cannot sacrifice one creature to 2 things. I am not sure whether he is though.

Even if that's true:
→ Sac Ornithopter to Spawning Pit for two counters...
→ ...then pay one mana and remove the counters to get two artifact creature tokens...
→ ...then sac one of those to Krark-Clan Ironworks get two more mana...
→ ...then use Mindless Automaton's abilities to get a new card (optional, and costs one mana)...
→ ...then start again from the first arrow, but replace "Ornithopter" with "artifact creature token".

So you have to spend one mana to activate the combo, and then it's still infinite in all regards.

Well, then, A) I made an amateur mistake in that regard, and B) I'm glad you corrected me. Thank you.

YUp... i question though... If you have conspiracy in play, declaring creature type "Eldrazi"... Would the tokens produced be Eldrazi spawn tokens? And can you use it to play "Hand of Emrakul"?

I can't see why not. They are Spawn tokens, and Conspiracy says "...creatures you control are the chosen type"...
...so they gain the "Eldrazi" type, become 2/2 Eldrazi Spawn tokens, and can be sacked to summon Hand of Emrakul.

I just reread the rule text of Conspiracy... It seems like conspiracy makes the all the creature types become the chosen type ignoring the other creature types (due to the absence of the rule text - "in addition to its other types"...

Well, according to the added rulings on the WotC Gatherer website, "[Conspiracy] does not replace any use of creature types in card text", so if you have Spawns on the field and choose "Eldrazi" for the creature type bestowed by Conspiracy, you get Eldrazi Spawn tokens.

Another common argument is Turntimber Ranger - it has creature types Elf, Scout and Ally. Every time it or another Ally comes into play, you can put a 2/2 Wolf token into play... but if you use Conspiracy to make all of your creatures into Allies, every time a token comes into play, it becomes a Wolf Ally (not just a Wolf) and lets you add another token... and another... and another...

No problem. At least, such is my understanding of the rule.
Wizards... suffice it to say, they like ambiguous wording.

You can't sac other creatures with eldrazi spawn in their creature types to get the 1 mana. Only the tokens that are put into play with that ability have it.

when you change the creature type you dont gain abilities of that creature type.

Still an awesome combo though.

Unfortunately you are incorrect here.

What Conspiracy means by the text of the card being unaffected, is that the tokens produced are still the same type of token.

e.g. a Spawn token produced by Spawning pit is still a token named 'Spawn' with the creature type 'Spawn' - then Conspiracy overwrites its creature type (e.g. to Eldrazi). This overwriting happens as the token comes into play so it will trigger anything that says 'When an Eldrazi enters the battlefield' (i.e. Conspiracy set to 'Ally' / Turntimber Ranger is still a combo)

If Conspiracy goes away, so does it's affect, so the Spawn/Wolf tokens will be Spawn/Wolf again.

Please note Conspiracy does NOT add creature types. We had this discussion a while ago. It just overwrites them all with whatever you picked. Compare the wording to that of Ashes of the Fallen.

Well, that makes more sense the way you said it... but you could probably use something better and cheaper anyways, like Mirror Entity.

Wurtnik: No one said that you could sac them for mana. He said that you could sac them to play Hand of Emrakul. HoE says that you may sacrifice 4 Eldrazi Spawn instead of paying it's mana cost.
