it pretty simple actually. with the myr in play tap it to turn one of your opponents lands into an artifact, say one of there basic "island". Then play splinter on the artifact island, splinter then searchs there hand, grave, and library for cards named "island" and removes them from the game.
For added fun, drop a mind funeral after this.

Building a deck to play the combo in is not hard, since it can destroy non-basic lands as well it can tremdously slow a person down, especially splasher. Even en experienced person playing a mono colored can be hosed by this, such as the guys in my playgroup (stupid stasis and pestlience decks)
