This is going off of a thread already started but digresses a bit, so I started another thread. I like the elf "formula" started by gericault5 (Paradise Mantle, Imperious Perfect, and Intruder Alarm). A way to make them ruthless, I believe, would be to put them in with a Golgari Rotwurm, a Dark Ritual and DR's equivalent for green (I'm fairly new to the game and remember abilities better than card names). Any suggestions for wiping out mass amounts of life this way with better, quicker cards?

Hmm...with said formula one could play a killer U/G elf combo deck...But as far as being faster at killing, a friend of mine, runs a Roar of the Crowd elf deck, using cards like seething song and rite of flame to build mana quickly alongside many different lands that allow for green mana production. I don't know all the cards he plays, but he usually casts cards like Llanowar elves, Elvish harbinger and Elvish promenade. He's usually able to burn for a lot of damage quickly.
Also I think theres a R/G deck named "Elf Grenade" that uses Furystoke giant to win.
A good black card to consider would probably be Fallen Ideal, to make a pretty decent sized elf.

there are alot of ways to go to defeat your opp. depends on the color. with heritage druid infiniate elves=infinate mana, any x spell would work, such as blaze. or you can go creature base and simply overrun them with 1000's of 1/1 elves. my personal favorite: Heedless One.
