Its just a litte method to get your Storm counters high with unlimited mana !

Ashnod's Altar + Myr Retriever +Myr Retriever for unlimited mana
Isochron Scepter -> Imprint Twiddle

Voltaic Key Untaps Isochrone Scepter -> Twiddle untaps Voltaic Key


Finisher -> Brain Freeze !

The myr and alter is well worn combo for storm. What is the twiddle and key for? It cost mana, and doesn't increase the storm so what does it do?

Twiddle to go imprint with the Isochron Scepter

Twiddle to untap Voltaic Key
Voltaic Key to untap Isochron Scepter und cast Twiddle again.

With this combo you can increase your strom counter ;)

I did it once with Splice onto arcane deck...

Though this one is better...

Alter + Myr + Myr does not equal unlimited mana. It in itself is unlimited storm

Sorry Keldor. The copy form Isochron Scepter isn't cast. It's a copy. To be better at no walls of text it is rule 706.9 of the comprehensive rule book. The Myr Retriever is, because it recovers the other Myr, and you cast the card from hand.

True, but the error of the spell imprinted on the scepter being cast, as opposed to put into play has already been repeated.

FYI: Isochron's activation is a cast (without paying it's mana cost) and adds to storm and other things that counts spells including Erayo which hurts...

spells from the scepter count toward the storm.  rule 709 states that copies of spells or abilitys are not cast.  however, the scepter does not copy a spell, it copies the card, and that card is then cast from the exiled zone, without paying its mana cost.  however other then that it is treated as an other casted card and counts toward the storm

See... So imprinted arcane spell still triggers "Whenever you cast an spirit/arcane spell", right?
