It should still die.

I'm confused... Is he saying that changing control prevents sacrificing?

Not sure what you're asking, but i can tell you what this will do: You use the soulstokes ability to play the exemplar, you still have to champion something. Bazaar trader will do nothing but give your opponent a blocker until the end of turn, but it'll lose the +1/+1. The trader can't stop it from being sacrificed and even if it could you'd still have an exiled creature and no way to bring it back. Also, exemplar has to enter the battlefield before it can be traded so it's not like you can force them to exile a creature for it.  Not sure what you were trying to do here, but that's all i can think up.

This won't work. It's as simple as that.

If you add otherworldly journey, you can exile it and bring it back into play as a new object (meaning you won't need to sacrifice it).

But yes, Bazaar Trader won't do anything for you.

It brings up an interesting question about whether your opponent has to sacrifice the creature if you gave the elemental to him or her though.

Incandescent Soulstoke and Otherworldly Journey would go well with Walker of the Grove. You would be able to get 2 creatures out for 4 mana.

I don't get how you'd be able to trade it back. You can only trade things you control, not own. At least i think that's how it works.

Brand is really the only card that deals with cards you own.

tralis-  the trader says target player not opponent so you can trade it to yourself.  In most cases this would do nothing, however, in case of stealing creatures such as through act of treason, trading it to your self will allow you to keep it.
