First have Mirari on the field. Then play Seething Song adding MMMMM to your mana pool. Spend 3 of that to copy Seething Song and repeat as nessessary gaining a total of MM everytime you play Mirari\'s ability. Then Use one of the many red spells that have X in there mana cost and you win the game.

sorry but this doesn't work this way, once the spell resolves to give you the 5 mana it is no longer on the stack and can't be copied. plus you aren't playing the copy of song so mirari ability cant activate the second time.

I went back through and your right. It wouldn't work with spending the mana you got from seething song. You could still use the combo though. You could use a total of 6 mana to play seething song and copy it to gain a total of 5. Then when you play the copy use 3 of the 5 to copy the copy and then repeat. Thanks for the heads up though.

but your not playing (or casting using new terms) the copy, you simply put it on the stack, therefore, mirari requirements are not fullfilled so it can't be repeated. Sorry i'm such a let down

Yes it would, because Mirari tells you to simply copy the spell, not to play it, so you have a copy of Seething Song, then when the first resolves you play the copy

however copies are not played they are placed directly onto the stack. Spells are considered to be played when all costs are paid and its placed on the stack. At this time mirari says ok you played a spell, want to copy it for 3? The copy is made and place above the orignal. then the copy resolves, followed by the orignal. Another song is never cast so mirari never asks the question again.

damn, that sucks, o well, i guess i will just have to do it another way then, and change my deck around :(
