Fun little combo to play w/ a rat deck. First cast Thornbite Staff, then follow up w/ Marrow-Gnawer. Tap Gnawer and sacrifice any other rat you own to make two rats.(This is assuming all you have is Gnawer and one other rat in play)Gnawer untaps due to the Staff's ability, and rinse wash repeat, until you feel you have a sizeable number of rodents, then attack your opponent with your massive army of 1/1 rats.

Try to throw in haste, since that will prevent the other player form getting a turn to try to nuke your field.

I suppose I could splash red for that new M10 card that gives all creatures haste, but the only problem is finding a decent r/b rat creature. (Aside from sanity gnawers.)
